Everyone wants to be happy, right? Who doesn’t! Is it possible to be happy all the time? Most of the time? There are certainly moments in life where we may just need to embrace the fact that we do not feel entirely fulfilled or happy.
But what is happiness about really? Most people might say that it is a state of being where we feel centered, calm, at peace with ourselves, contented. We might also find that happiness comes naturally in moments of deep connection (with ourselves, with others, with the Divine), in moments where our hearts are fully open and receptive, in moments where we share our unique gifts and uplift others.
We might have also noticed that if we simply link our happiness to events and happenings, our ability to be really be happy may be often times compromised.
If happiness is directly linked to our ability to feel connected, open, aware and useful to others, we might consider taking some time everyday to rest deeply.
Why? Because it is extremely difficult to feel open, connected and able to perceive accurately, and act or communicate properly, when our nervous system is on overload and we are stressed.
This is one of the main reasons it is so important to adopt a daily practice that will allow us to let go of stress more easily, nurture and replenish ourselves so we can be clear, present and happier! Meditation, yoga, breathing practices (Pranayama and Sudarshan Kriya) are great ways to let go of the knots and tensions that naturally accumulate in our mind and body.
Aromatherapy To The Rescue
Because it is so important to feel open, at peace and connected to be happy, Shankara has formulated a unique aromatherapy blend called Shankara Essence, whose natural properties and subtle vibration holistically support these aspects of our being.
How does it work?
Shankara Essence is formulated with two types of lotus flowers (pink and white), two types of rose (white (alba) and absolute),jasmine, frankincense and myrrh as well as champaca absolute pure essential oils.
These essential oils have been traditionally used in sacred ceremonies around the world to uplift the spirit and connect to oneself and the divinity for thousands of years. They are deeply rejuvenating and nurturing giving us an experience of being truly cared for and of being heart-centered and peaceful.
Myrrh for example contains a high level of sesquiterpenes, a class of compounds that have a direct effect on the pituitary, hypothalamus, and amygdala, the seat of our emotions. It is purifying, restorative, and revitalizing and also helps to relieve stress and relax the body. Myrrh is also uplifting to the mind and helps release fear. It gently nudges us to become more accepting and trusting of ourselves. It helps open the heart chakra and can lead to a deeper meditative state.
Frankincense and myrrh are often blended together creating an incredibly powerful and balanced combination. The warm, sweet, spicy scent of frankincense balances the slightly pungent and musky aroma of myrrh. Frankincense is said to help gain courage, lift the spirit and focus the mind.
Champaca’s relaxing, rejuvenating and sensual fragrance produces a spiritual atmosphere that soothes and strengthens the mind. It helps to impart a sense of purpose and build strength of character.
Rose absolute is a tonic that gives nerves the strength to bear shock and protects them from disorders. It helps release anxiety and grief and promotes feelings of love and wellness. Rose alba’s uplifting and balancing properties support deeper meditation.
The essence of Pink lotus absolute is said to affect a very high center in the brain. Its subtle sweetness has a deeply soothing and calming effect, generating feelings of kindness, forgiveness and other positive spiritual attributes. White lotus absolute is extensively used in aromatherapy treatment centers to provide deep relief from stress, anxiety, irritability, depression, mental fatigue and many other issues. It helps to let go of negative thoughts and welcomes feelings of tranquility, spirituality and happiness.
Shankara Essence was formulated as a gift from our heart and soul to yours. To bring balance and peace to the heart, tranquility to the mind, to uplift the soul and nurture spiritual blossoming.
